Blooming Cold....

September 17th 2017
Quickly sharing this "Blooming Cold" altered index card before the weather turns nice and sunny - we are now in Spring so things are slowly warming up!!! Digi stamps by Vera Lane Studio and I did a bit of a play on words with the penguin wearing a floral hat!! Card background was a "mop up" from leftover paint/stencil/texture paste etc. always handy to have mop up cards for putting together a quick creation!!

Lil Tricksters....

September 15th 2017

A fun new digi set release from Vera Lane Studio "Lil Tricksters"!!!! This set has 8 digis - 6 lil characters plus a sentiment and bowl of eyeballs LOL!!! Great value and so much fun for Halloween coming up! We really don't celebrate Halloween here but I love to create Halloween style projects at any time of the year!!

These two (above and below) I added to a double tag with mixed media background. Digis coloured with copics and fussy cut and I used the set sentiment!

I printed off 2 more of the Lil Tricksters - the skeleton and the little pirate - so cute! These were both added to pages in my mini journal. I love the colours of both of these pages!

I think some of these characters would also be great for little boy birthday cards and invitations as well - they are great and spooky cute!! Make sure you check out the Vera Lane Studio Etsy Store for more great little quirky and cute characters to create with!

A quick share today for one of the Facebook challenges at the Gecko Galz Group - theme of Gold & Brown. I used an image from the "Sharp Dressed Man" collage sheets

I altered an index card with some Bingo cards and patterned digital papers also from Gecko Galz. Added some gold paint, sticky mesh, cloth, corner charm, computer generated wording and the fussy cut collage image.

Dream a Little Dream of Me with Feerie.....

A new challenge for this month at Rick St Dennis' "Sparkle & Glitter Challenge Blog" - theme for this time is "Clowns" - so many great digis available in Rick's Zibbet Store!! I've used "Feerie"!

My mixed media journal page uses washi tape, gesso, ink sprays and Sin City Stamps to make up the background. Feerie coloured with Copics and fussy cut and I added the computer generated wording.

Hope you can join us this month - lots of great clown digis in the store and you have a whole month to enter!

A fun new set of Lil Rascals available at Vera Lane Studio - such quirky lil characters!!!! I've made a mixed media background double tag for these lads! Stencil, texture paste and watercolour crayons and india ink for the background. Finished off with sticky mesh, string at the tops and the "stay cool" wording (also available in the set!!)

Above is "Doggyfish" - LOL gotta love his teeth!!! Below is "Trainjumper" complete with little skull on his cap (also in the set!!) This duo are just too much fun to colour and create with - but they are perfect for "boys"!!!

You Bring Your Knees in Tight......

September 9th 2017

I had so much fun putting this journal page together with fabulous collage elements by Art Tea Life - available at the Etsy Store!!! there are so many wonderful collage sheets to create with - well worth a visit!!

I've used "gals" from the "Uptown Girl" Sheet - you can create a great array of "characters" LOL!! Background is washi tape, Gesso, Ink Sprays, Paint and great little stamps by Sin City from the "Background Grunge" set to add some colour and interest to the background with the splatters of black paint. Song wording was computer generated, cut out and edged with a pink posca pen.

I made this to enter at the current Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge "J is for Jumble" (collage creations) - I think it's a perfect fit for this challenge!

Let's do the Time Warp again!!!!!!!

Bugs & Birds.....

September 8th 2017
An altered index card made for one of this months Facebook challenges at the Gecko Galz Facebook Group with the them of Bugs & Birds.

I used several Gecko Galz collage sheet sets for this card - background images are from the "Fly Away Jewels" set - I cut them all out and stuck them down patchwork style to the card base and added a wash of Gesso all over. The butterflies are from the "Butterfly Jewels" sheet and I fussy cut them and added to the card with an ink sprayed piece of muslin cloith, some blue pearls and some little bits of sparkly Stampendous Shaved Ice - a little hard to see in the pic. To finish I added the "fly" letters in the bottom corner and edged the card with a dark blue ink pad.
